Our center has three pediatricians that specialize in adoption medicine. Dr. Julia Bledsoe and Dr. Julian Davies provide pre-adoption consultations by telephone for families adopting from abroad or domestically. Dr. Cynthia Kertesz has recently joined us in the clinic, to provide post-placement evaluations and ongoing pediatric care.

We perform over 900 pre-adoptive consults per year for children from all countries, and have particular expertise in the diagnosis of FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome), as Drs. Bledsoe and Davies are the two faculty pediatricians at the University of Washington FAS Clinic, the longest standing FAS center in the US.

In addition to working at the FAS Clinic and counseling pre-adoptive families, we are also primary care pediatricians in the Seattle area and over half of our patients were adopted. We think we have the coolest pediatric jobs around.
