Oh, the torture. First of all, if you've drawn blood doing this, you're not alone. Leave the clippers be, and try nibbling them off (during feeding works well for some), or using an emery board. Some folks use tiny nail scissors or clippers when the child is in a deep sleep, but me, I don't like to risk a deep sleep.
